The “Structural Model Design Workshop,” organized within the scope of the Smart Infrastructure Technician Program at Ulus Vocational School, was successfully completed. The event, held on April 15, 2026, at Ulus Vocational School, enabled students to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical application within the framework of the Construction Technology course.
During the workshop, students developed structural models through hands-on activities focusing on technical design, scaling, and basic static principles. These activities contributed significantly to their professional development.
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Lecturer Fatih Şerif COŞAN, instructor of the Construction Technology course, with additional support provided by Lecturer Taha ÖZ, a member of the Smart Infrastructure Technician Program.
At the end of the program, participating students were presented with gifts by the Head of Department, Lecturer Dr. Nurçin SEYMEN AKSU.
In a brief evaluation during the presentation ceremony, Lecturer Dr. Nurçin SEYMEN AKSU emphasized the importance of such practical workshops in enhancing students’ professional skills, stating: “It is extremely valuable for us that our students can translate their theoretical knowledge into practice and actively participate in the production process. Through such activities, we aim to improve not only their technical competencies but also their problem-solving and design skills. We plan to continue and expand similar workshops in the future.”
It was noted that such practice-oriented activities make a significant contribution to strengthening students’ sectoral competencies and increasing their professional awareness.
